I have a confession to make. I have a bad case of Francophilia.
In reality, it’s not as bad as it sounds, and I am able to manage it quite easily.
Sure, it flairs up from time to time, but it’s easy to treat the symptoms. Champagne helps.
As do specific forms of carbohydrate, such as croissants…
…or baguettes.
Or, if the chance presents itself, a trip to La Belle France, bien sūr.
Today, we fed my craving with a trip to the French Fair in Palo Alto.
We rode over on the motorcycle and it was a little hectic finding parking, but we managed!
The first thing we saw were some French cars:
Then we made our way through the crowds and waited in line for quite a while to get some food. We figured our mood – and patience – would improve if we ate.
We had some delicious and authentique sandwiches.
Then we walked around looking at the French vendors and I bought two lavender sachets.
C’était une bonne journée!
à bientôt!
You had me at the photo of Buci News. I LOVE that store–it’s the cutest little stationary store and at Christmastime it’s like a little nugget of a wonderland. Your post made me realize I haven’t been back to Paris in almost a year. It’s one thing to be in the South of France during the summer, but I’ll take Paris any day! Thanks for giving me a smile!

Oh! I can’t imagine what it looks like at Christmas! It’s on my “bucket list” to visit Paris in every season…;-)

I like Fall best. It’s not as crowded and it’s great weather for walking and walking!
